The perfect fall shade of lipstick

This experiment was actually enlightening for me:  I really thought all of these colors were pretty much the same shade and, upon my testing, I found some significant differences and that every lipstick is its own unique snow-flower.

All of the ones below are liquid lipsticks which apply like a lip gloss but mattify on to your lips for beautiful long lasting staying power.  The fall color I have chosen is in the dusty rose/mauve family. I think it is a color family that has shades to look dazzling on any skin tone.

What did I test? If you look online most everyone does the wearing power and then also a test after eating/drinking. You can look those up if you need that information. The general consensus is that they all perform close to the same.
I did the make-out test. I applied every lipstick and then proceeded to make out with the back of my hand. Here are the lipsticks and results.

Sephora Creme Lip Stain  – 13 Marvelous Mauve

It is really soft and moist in the application. Dries nice but not too dry.
Testing: There was a good amount of color after a good make-out session but I would need to reapply. No bleeding

Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip   – Bumble and Tulle

One of the driest  of the bunch but it has amazing  lasting power. I did find it became patchy a bit easier with drinking than other liquid lipsticks. You do need to apply it quickly because it dries fast.
Testing (Bumble) – some bleeding around my lips but good color retention. Better than Sephora less than Kat Von D.
Testing (Tulle) – no bleeding and really good color retention.

Kat Von D  Everlasting Liquid  Lipstick – Lolita

The Kat Von D formula is my favorite of all liquid lipsticks. I find it has a solid staying power and it isn’t as drying as other ones. I don’t find them as patchy in the application.  They dry quick but not as quick as Colourpop so you have some time to work with the lipstick.
Testing: Good color retention. No bleeding either.

LA Splash Smitten LipTint Mousse – Lovegood or Lovestruck (color renamed)

It holds up well but like all of them, it comes off with food. I did find when it started to come off it would get a bit gritty and did the whole fade in the middle but the outside is intact. Removal of this lipstick is harrrrrrrrrrrrrrd. It took a wipe, cleanser and then oil for me to get it off
Testing: really good color retention. No bleeding. It really looked like I didn’t do any kissing. You could cheat all night! JK-lols
La Splash

Stila Stay All Day – Amore

It is moussier like the Sephora and has an amazing smell.  I like the formula of their summer versions of this product better than this “classic” formula. It doesn’t last as long but it is a great liquid lipstick.
Testing: so much removal. No bleeding though.
